Though my arrival here was within fifteen minutes of the kitchen's scheduled closing time, both the kitchen and wait staff accommodated my full pasta dinner and side salad order. This was most appreciated after a long tough work day. All the food and beverage were very tasty and satisfying. Again I was pleased, and happily surprised, that I was treated far more like a treasured customer and not some one to be handled quickly so as to speed up the nightly closing process of this actually well run dining establishment.
Food is great, service is awesome! Great for intimate dinners and group parties. Large menu variety for all picky eaters. Bartenders are the #1 is customer service in Eagan. -1star for the "regulars" at the bar. (Not Green Mills fault, but certainly their problem.)
*****Update***** they did personally get in touch with me to try and resolve the issue. That does say a lot about caring what their customers experience.
It was fast and friendly. Able to find me a table even during busy time. Never had to flag down help the moment I looked up she noticed and acknowledged me.
I have been ordering from the Eagan Green Mill for years, and on Friday I placed an order for delivery at 6:10 PM by a phone call. I called them back at 7:34 PM as my order had not been delivered. My order FINALLY arrived at 7:54 PM...........a hair short of a 2 hour delivery. When i called them at 7:34 PM and said my order had not arrived, all the guy said was it left the store. It was the most cold pizza, wings, and my salad was the only thing still "fresh." Very disappointing as no one took responsibility for this service we rec'vd. Not sure we will be ordering any longer..
I've had two pretty disappointing experiences with this location in the past week. A couple of days ago, I ordered food for delivery and very clearly included in the instructions that the deliverer was not to ring the doorbell but knock instead because my son was sleeping. Nope! Walked right up and rang the doorbell and woke up my son. When I informed him that I was frustrated because I'd given very clear instructions, he responded with "Yeah, sorry. I didn't look at those," and then walked away. Of course I'd already left a tip on my card. Then tonight, at 5pm, my son and I went in for pizza and salad. We usually sit in the bar area, so we can play music on TouchTunes. He always asks if we can sit at the bar for a little bit, and I have previously always said no for obvious reasons. Today, however, it was pretty early and quite slow, so when he asked, I said that we could sit up there for a bit to order our beverages, and as a bartender of 10 years, I've never heard of that being a problem during the day. Almost immediately, a bartender walked up from behind my son, who is six, and without saying "Hi. How are you." or anything like that at all, he in a very unfriendly and loud way said directly to my son, "Can't sit up here unless you're 18." My son's 6, and this made him feel a) startled because the bartender walked up right behind him and basically yelled this in his ear, and b) like he had done something wrong. Zero tact or hospitality was exercised in this situation, and my son cried in a booth for ten minutes after this. The bartender never even attempted to apologize to him. I understand that there are corporate policies, but service staff should always try to be accommodating and at least tactful. My son never should have been addressed directly, it should have been me so that I could have explained the situation. And to top it off, our pizza came out and half of it was uncut. Like wasn't even attempted to be cut through. It's really sad that corporate restaurants like this do so well in the suburbs despite their lack of genuine appreciation for their customers simply because of a lack of QUALITY competition. This place definitely won't be getting my money anymore.
