Reception was very nice and fast. Nurses was very gentle. And Dr. Rhonda Bakke was very kind and great explaining everything in easy language. Lab results were very fast, they all came out in a day or two.
I had a procedure done by Dr. Gerald Cunniff and he was very kind, patient, and understanding. During the procedure, he was gentle and explained things as he went along. I appreciated his business-like professionalism and when I asked questions, he provided me with objective data and the knowledge I needed to make informed decisions about my welfare and health. Any issues I have going forward, I will definitely be seeing Dr. Cunniff about. His nurse, Jen, was very compassionate and out-going. I had some negative affects after the procedure and had to take time to recover. Jen was very accommodating for anything I needed to help me feel better. Dr. Cunniff checked in with me between seeing other patients to ensure I was recovering and if I needed anything, as well. They make an excellent pair and I would recommend them to friends.
I have been seen by Dr. Spence and I would recommend him to anyone. He is very personable and very interesting in you and your baby. He has answered all my questions I have had throughout my pregnancy (my first). He is only at the Eagan location Wed-Fri. I understand the complaints for the other male doctor I had to see him once and was not impressed. I think this is a great location and OB as long as you get to see a doctor who you feel comfortable with.
I was a patient several years ago during a pregnancy. I had developed a relationship with my doctor and really enjoyed her. In my THIRD trimester, a staff member left a MESSAGE on my phone stating that my doctor had to go on leave and would not be back for my delivery and that they had cancelled all of my appointments so I needed to call back and reschedule with a new doctor. I don't think that leaving a message on my phone was the proper way to tell a pregnant woman that information. I went to Allina in Hastings instead and love them. I recently decided to try scheduling again (for gyno exam/pap) in Eagan because it's closer to my house. I scheduled online. I received a message on my phone stating that I couldn't have a pap because I already had one less than a year ago and I needed to call them to schedule my appointment "correctly". I called back to explain that I had not had a pap and was due for one. I was told that they could do an exam, but not a pap because there wasn't time and that I could schedule another time to do that. The scheduler was not rude and was trying to help figure out why or how we could schedule everything together. It was either nursing or reception staff that seems to be the problem. It should not be this difficult to do a CANCER screen. I will never go back. I'd rather drive 35 minutes to Hastings.
I have always had a short wait time and great experience with the support staff and my regular NP. It can take a while to get an appointment at times, but it's well worth the wait. Staff is competent and compassionate.
